A service provider will prioritize their strategic goals and objectives ahead of that of their customers’. The underlying feeling of these relationships for the customer is one of being backed into a corner; slow development and delivery timelines and a lack of flexibility, ultimately stifling the options available to the customer’s business. The decisions made are therefore made out of reactive necessity rather than proactive thought leadership.

A Partner aligns their goals and objectives with that of their customers’; working in collaboration to understand, develop and execute on strategies that will ultimately enhance the operation of the customer’s business. Assessing options becomes the norm and the feeling of being backed into a corner is replaced by a sense of the partner having the customer’s back.
In our industry; iGaming, too many retailers are falling victim to their “Providers” when what they ultimately need is a “Partner” to grow their strategy as the industry continues to advance and evolve. The challenge is that it can be too hard to identify a partner vs. a provider because it is often not until the initial solution (the one deployed at the time of contract execution) requires change, can the distinction truly be made.
